KDLS Radio Broadcast - 1310 AM
Begins September 22, 2008.  Tune in Monday through Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m.
Kick-Off Event - Perry Golf and Country Club, 352 330th Street, Perry
7:00 p.m., Friday, October 3, 2008 -- A 1920's-themed social event to include music, dancing, and fun.  Valerie Williams, professional dancer and instructor from Ames, Iowa, will demonstrate a variety of Roaring Twenties dances.  Audience participation encouraged!  Food and drink specials for sale by the chefs at the Country Club.
Film Showing - Perry Crossroads Church, 2810 First Street, Perry
7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 11 and 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 12, 2008.  The Great Gatsby starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow (1974).  Concessions available -- Perry Junior Class fundraiser. 
Book Discussion - Perry Public Library, 1101 Willis Avenue, Perry 
7:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 22, 2008 -- Erika Koss, Literature Specialist for the National Endowment of the Arts, returns to Perry for her second Big Read celebration with local readers.  Join Erika for a rousing discussion of The Great Gatsby in the library community room.  Light refreshments will be provided.
Keynote Session - Town/Craft Center, 1122 Willis Avenue, Perry
7:00 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2008 -- Maureen Corrigan, Book Critic for National Public Radio's Fresh Air and Georgetown University lecturer.  The evening will also include introductions by special guest Katherine Perkins from Iowa Public Radio.  Reception to follow.
