Adventure Pass

Adventure Pass is an online program that allows library patrons to use their library cards to visit area attractions, museums, and parks for free.

The Details

  • Passes can only be obtained through your home library. Passes are restricted to only residents of your community, and residents of any community with which you have a contract for service. 
  • Pass availability is specific to each venue.  The pass is for 2 adult admissions and 2 children admissions.
  • A pass is available for library card holders on a first-come first-served basis and may be reserved up to 90 days in advance by cardholders 18 and older.
  • The library currently has a pass for the Science Center of Iowa, Blank Park Zoo, Des Moines Children’s Museum, the Museum of Danish America, and the McCreary Community Building.
  • A printed pass is required for entry.
  • A pass may be reserved one time per year for each location per adult library cardholder if passes are available.
  • The institution may check your ID. The name on the printed pass must match the name on the ID of the adult using the pass.
  • To cancel a reservation, please call the library at 515-465-3569 prior to closing the day before your visit.
