Adventure Pass

Adventure Pass is an online program that allows library patrons to use their library cards to visit area attractions, museums, and parks for free.

 

 

The Details

• Passes can only be obtained through your home library. Passes are restricted to only residents of your community, and residents of any community with which you have a contract for service. 
• Pass availability is specific to each venue.  The pass is for 2 adult admissions and 2 children admissions.
• A pass is available for library card holders on a first-come first-served basis and may be reserved up to 90 days in advance by cardholders 18 and older.
• The library currently has a pass for the Science Center of Iowa, Blank Park Zoo, Des Moines Children’s Museum, the Museum of Danish America, and the McCreary Community Building.
• A printed pass is required for entry.
• A pass may be reserved one time per year for each location per adult library cardholder if passes are available.
• The institution may check your ID. The name on the printed pass must match the name on the ID of the adult using the pass.
• To cancel a reservation, please call the library at 515-465-3569 prior to closing the day before your visit.

DSM Children's Museum Update

The DSM Children's Museum's last day in the Valley West Mall will be October 24, 2026. After the closure, they will need a couple of weeks to move to their new location. A reopening date is not available yet. Iowa Adventure Passes for the DSM Children's Museum will be paused after October 24, 2026 until further notice. The museum will honor any passes that have already been checked out for those closed dates when they reopen or before closing. The Perry Public Library website and the Adventure Pass will be updated when additional information is available.
